Small                                              $65+

Medium                                          $75+

Weights from above apply here as well. Dogs are groomed to Breed Standards unless customer requests special grooming. Double Coated Breeds will not be "shaved down" as it will destroy the natural coat. I do procedures that will shorten the coat without destroying it.

These fees are based on the condition and length of coat, plus behavior. Fees may increase due to behavior, size and/or severity of any matting.

EXTRAS

Nails Only                                          $15

Ear Cleaning                                      $10

De-matting                                          $1/minute

DE-SHEDDING: It is not a one-time event, it is a seasonal event, usually 2 times a year. Dogs may require 2 - 4 de-shedding sessions to reduce the amount of hair. There are special shampoos and procedures that assist in the reduction of hair released. Getting the hair coat to thin out helps with the natural insulation to handle the hotter weather as well as ridding the summer coat to grow in the thicker coat for winter. There ae some dogs who shed constantly in large amount year-round. This could be due to many different issues. I am happy to discuss those issues with you to offer solutions.

With that said, I will not "shave down" any double coated breeds, unless necessary. (Medical condition, severe matting or unsanitary conditions require it.)

In hot weather, all dogs get hot and pant a lot, short or long coated. It is natural. Just provide plenty of water, shade or bring them into an air-conditioned house. (Consider a wading pool!) Shaving down dogs does not make them cooler or shed less. That is a myth. Do not force exercise in the mid-day hot weather. Play with or exercise them in the cooler mornings or evenings (unless you have a pool or are playing in the lakes, streams or oceans) Remember, EVERYONE is hot, humans and animals, including wildlife. They all seek shade and drink lots of water to keep cool.
